The AU4694 is a 4 Rail, digital, multi-phase controller that provides power for AMD processors. AU4694 can work with Aurasemi's AU4852 Smart Power Stage (SPS) to complete the multiphase voltage regulator (VR) solution with minimum external components. Together, the AU4694 and AU4852 deliver exceptional efficiency and ultra-low power consumption boosting the battery life of notebooks.  

The AU4694 Rail/Phase combination can be configured flexibly. The AU4694 provides an on-chip NVM to store and restore device configurations. Device configurations and fault parameters can be easily programmed or monitored via the PMBus interface. The AU4694 can monitor and report output current by sensing the CS output of SPS devices. 

With an easy to configure, single power loop compensation for both steady state and load transient, AU4694 provides a fast transient response to the load transient with minimum value of output capacitors. 

The AU4694 also provides active current balancing and auto-phase shedding for better thermal and efficiency performance. AU4694 includes input and output voltage temperature monitoring with selectable protection functions and programmable load line for each Rail.
