The AU4683 is a 3 Rail, digital, multi-phase controller that provides power for SVI3 AMD core power. The AU4683 can work with Aurasemi's AU4851 Smart Power State to complete the multiphase voltage regulator (VR) solution with minimum external components.
The AU4683 Rail/phase combination can be configured flexibly. The AU4683 provides an on-chip NVM to store and restore device configurations. Device configurations and fault parameters can be easily programmed or monitored via the PMBus interface. The AU4683 can monitor and report output current by sensing the CS output of AU4851 devices.
With an easy to configure, single power loop compensation for both Steady State and Load Transient, AU4683 provides a fast transient response to the load transient with minimum value of output capacitors.
The AU4683 also provides active current balancing and auto-phase shedding for better thermal and efficiency performance. AU4683 includes input and output voltage, temperature monitoring with selectable protection functions, and programmable load line for each Rail.
